Dr. Amireh Awad

DDS, MS, MS

Prosthodontist

Dr. Amireh Awad was born and raised in Carrollton, Texas. She is a proud comet, finishing her undergraduate Biology degree from The University of Texas at Dallas. During her time as a clinical research assistant at Duke University, Dr. Awad realized she wanted to be more involved in patient care. She moved back to Texas with her husband and completed her first master of science degree in Clinical Research Management from the University of North Texas Health Science Center.

 

Dr. Awad then obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. Upon receiving her degree, she completed an AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, where she focused on surgery, sedation, restorative, special care dentistry for patients with special needs, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Dr. Awad returned home to Dallas to complete her second residency in Prosthodontics at Texas A&M College of Dentistry. Over the next three years, she continued to fine tune her surgical skills and increase her restorative knowledge in complex full mouth rehabilitation cases. It was also during this time Dr. Awad completed her second masters of science degree in Oral Biology. Her research focused on the relining properties of denture materials fabricated using digital technology.

 

Dr. Awad is passionate about serving others. She established Dental Health Specialists to provide quality, individualized care to her patients. When she is not working on her patients’ smiles, Dr. Awad loves spending time with her husband and four children. She also enjoys capturing special moments with her family through photography, a hobby she picked up during her residency.
